Hobo Chess Classic ("we", "our", or "the app") is a game developed by SwiftVisions LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use our app, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect limited information to improve the app experience and diagnose issues. We do not require you to create an account.

Analytics Data

We use Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) to collect anonymous usage data, including:

• Which game modes are played (single player, local multiplayer)
• Which single player difficulty levels are selected
• In-app purchase interactions (paywall views, purchases, restores)
• General app usage patterns (session length, screen views)
• Device type and operating system version

This data is collected in aggregate and is not linked to your personal identity. Firebase Analytics does not use advertising identifiers (IDFA). For more information, see Google's Firebase Privacy documentation.

Crash Reports

We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports when the app encounters an unexpected error. These reports include:

• Device model and operating system version
• App version
• A stack trace describing where the crash occurred

Crash reports do not contain any personally identifiable information.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

The following preferences are saved locally on your device using Apple's standard storage mechanisms and are never transmitted to our servers:

• Your chosen display name
• Your selected avatar, board color, and piece colors
• Gameplay preferences such as undo duration
• Your game history (stored locally in the app)
• Your purchase status for Hobo Chess Roamer

3. Local Network Usage

When you use the local multiplayer feature, the app uses Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework to discover and connect with nearby devices over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. This connection is peer-to-peer and does not route through any external servers. No personal data is transmitted over this connection beyond the display name and avatar you have chosen within the app.

4. In-App Purchases

Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for information about how purchase data is handled.

5. Children's Privacy

Hobo Chess Classic does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The analytics and crash reporting data we collect is anonymous and contains no personally identifiable information. The app does not include any advertising, social features, or external links directed at children.

6. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase Analytics — anonymous usage analytics (Google LLC)
• Firebase Crashlytics — crash reporting (Google LLC)
• Apple StoreKit — in-app purchases (Apple Inc.)
• Apple MultipeerConnectivity — local device discovery (Apple Inc.)

7. Data Retention

Analytics and crash report data is retained by Google Firebase according to their standard data retention policies (typically 60 days for event-level data, 14 months for user-level data). You can request deletion of your data by contacting us.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of data associated with your use of the app. Since we do not collect personally identifiable information, most requests can be fulfilled by simply deleting the app from your device.
